How to Afford Exercise If You’re On a Budget

The first question most people have is how can I afford to go to the gym, I don’t have the money. Of course there is a number of ways to get exercise without going to the gym, but if that is what you want then follow these guidelines and you will find there is room in your budget for a gym membership. What? Yes, there is space in your budget to afford a twenty or thirty dollar gym membership

If you look in your cupboards and refrigerator you will find one common denominator in most American kitchens. That common thing is that they decided they don’t have the time to cook and they fill their cupboards with processed foods. You know all the foods that come in boxes and cans or full meals found in the freezer section. One can easily pull thirty dollars out of their monthly budget by buying whole foods instead of packaged foods and cooking your food yourself. By making this choice you will find you can save money, your food will taste better and you can start going to the gym. Of course for all of this to work you will need to decrease the number of hours you spend watching television, if you have to, bring the TV into the kitchen and watch while you cook, maybe a cooking show.

If you are going to be successful at integrating exercise into your lifestyle, your lifestyle has to change. Stop getting another year older and another ten or twenty pounds heavier. Two ways to make this change, first change your diet, eat whole foods, choose your vegetables and pick out your meats. Then, use this energy you get from eating wholesome fresh foods that you saved money on, to go to the gym. It is up to you, but changing your life requires you to change your lifestyle.
